Learn the Forehand Drive

Build a Powerful, Reliable Forehand that Puts Pressure on Your Opponents

The forehand drive is one of the most important shots in pickleball. It's critical for the first part of the game, serve, return and third shot drive

When developed properly, it allows you to:

• attack weak balls
• control rallies
• apply pressure on opponents
• finish points with confidence

But most players struggle because they’ve never been shown the system behind a great forehand.

They rely on random tips instead of understanding how the shot actually works.

This course breaks down the key mechanics, movement patterns, and strategies that allow you to build a forehand you can trust under pressure.

What you will learn

Biomechanics & Core Fundamentals

Before you can develop a powerful forehand, you need to understand how the body generates paddle speed and control.

In this section you’ll learn the core biomechanical principles behind an effective forehand, including how the body loads, rotates, and transfers energy into the shot.

These fundamentals create the foundation for everything that follows.

Stance Selection

Different situations require different body positions.

In this section you'll learn the three primary stances used in modern pickleball and, more importantly, when each stance should be used during a rally.

Understanding stance selection allows you to generate better power, maintain balance, and recover faster between shots.

Movement & Court Positioning

In real games you rarely hit forehands while standing still.

This section focuses on how movement affects your forehand and how to position your body depending on the direction you are moving.

You'll learn how to maintain balance, control, and power even while moving around the court.

Swing Path Decisions

Most players unknowingly use the same swing for every forehand.

In this section you'll learn the three swing paths used in high-level pickleball and how to choose the correct one depending on the height and timing of the ball.

This dramatically improves consistency, control, and shot selection.

Putting it into practice

This section is where everything comes together. You’ll learn how to apply the forehand in the most important moments of a rally.

Training exercises include:

• Serve – Develop consistency and power from the first shot
• Return – Build a reliable and offensive return
• 3rd Shot Drive – Learn how to apply pressure early in the rally

• You’ll also learn the mindset behind mastery — inspired by the philosophy often attributed to Bruce Lee:

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

 Mindset & developing confidence

Confidence doesn’t come from hoping the shot goes in.

It comes from understanding risk vs reward, applying pressure on opponents, and committing to the learning process.

You'll learn how developing a strong forehand changes not only your game, but also how opponents play against you.
